Yes Pet Parents- It’s that time of the year again. Get ready this week for frigid temperatures and life-threatening wind chills, with some areas of the Midwest dealing with colder weather than they’ve seen in decades. We arm ourselves with protective gear and layered clothing. But what about our fur kids? Don’t they deserve to be protected as well. Absolutely!
But unfortunately Animal Cruelty and dog deaths seem to be on the rise every winter. Though there are plenty of activist organizations such as the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of cruelty to Animals), PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) that are championing the cause for animal safety and ways to prevent animal cruelty, it is in our hands as pet parents to make sure our furry family members are safe this winter.
Though such cruelty and animal deaths are un-intentional and mostly caused by ignorance/negligence, it is a serious offence nevertheless to leave your pets in extreme weather that can be fatal. After all we would not do this to another human, so why should we treat our pets any different.?
We at Waggle have always been trying our best to create awareness about pet protection and wellness and we feel horrified when we hear of such incidents. It is extremely unfortunate that dogs are allowed to die when a few simple and routine tips could have completely avoided such dangers. Here are some winter care tips for your pets. Never let your pet be in an environment that could expose them to the dangers of frostbite. Always make sure your pets are in an environment where you are sure of their ambiance and comfort.
Use technology and the power of your smartphone to make sure you keep an eye on your pet protection at all times.
